En este pòdcast el artista se desplaza al fondo del pantano de Sant Antoni, uno de los principales embasaments de Cataluña construido el 1919 para proporcionar la electrificación que necesitaba la Industria de Barcelona a principios del siglo XX por la empresa La Canadiense. Situado en el Pallars Jussà, el travesía el río Noguera Pallaresa y para la realización de esta pieza se ha desplazado a la parte inaccesible de forma habitual por el importante episodio de sequía que nos atraviesa. Un registro ambiental de una antigua abundancia que ya no podemos ver, trabajado a partir de paisajes sonoros y trabajo sonoro de estudio, para crear una pista para adentrarnos en un proceso de barbecho forzado por el clima.

In this podcast, the artist travels to the bottom of the Sant Antoni reservoir, one of the main reservoirs in Catalonia, built in 1919 to provide the electrification required by Barcelona’s industry in the early 20th century, developed by the company La Canadiense. Located in Pallars Jussà, it crosses the Noguera Pallaresa River. For the creation of this piece, the artist accessed an area that is usually unreachable due to the severe drought currently affecting the region.

 

It is an environmental recording of a former abundance that can no longer be seen, developed through soundscape recording and studio sound work, creating a sonic piece that invites us to enter a process of climate-induced fallowing.
