As an artist, teacher and researcher in the field of the arts, my creative development explores those visual and sound processes that deepen the relationship between the human being and nature, from a critical review of the human condition inherent to the hearing processes /sensation. My works explore the abstract idea of sound not only as a device of critical self-reflection, but as a particular process or language for the tangible and visual materialization of the compositional elements.
During the development of my creative process there is a transgression in the sonority that results in a sensory process that the viewer is always an essential part of. The work is initiated by the artist, but it is in the mind of the viewer where it ends. Each piece, each video, each sound, each noise, exist and are transformed, making them interact with the different sensory states that condition the response on it. How many symphonies or sounds is the human being able to remember and reproduce through a single audition? The amount of sounds that make up an auditory process, are shown only as a purely abstract process, which can only be understood through the sensory process.
The final goal of the works that I produce is to provoke mental processes of critical thinking, to provoke reflection or to create an intimate process of relationship between the spectator and the work, which converges in the completion of the construction process. Art becomes an interactive and critical process encompassing the relationship between the artist and the spectator. There is therefore often an alchemical transformation of the general and abstract concept of sound, acquiring the formalization of visible processes that delve into one of the most recurrent existentialist desires since the beginning of time in the field of musicology and experimental acoustics ; the visualization of sound.
